HONORING MOM
A wonderful woman in my life is my mother, Linda Good. She has always been one I can rely on as a mother and a friend. I know that at any moment I can call her and she will be a listening ear and help me to think outside of the box. She never gives up on me and always is caring. She is a woman who will put others before herself, and I have seen that time and time again. She will press on and keep fighting, and I’ve witnessed that many times. She is one who has taught me and has guided me in life, and I can’t thank her enough.
As a child, I gave my parents such a hard time but specifically my mom. There were times I would literally make her want to pull her hair out, and I know those few “blonde” pieces definitely came from me. Just the other day I had stopped in to visit and we were talking about some of the crazy things I did as a child. If it wasn’t for my mom leading, guiding, and many times pushing me, I don’t know where I would be today.
I like the Passion Translation of Proverbs 22:6 says, “Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life.” I’m not that old, but I can tell you that I already know and am very thankful for my mother, who pointed me in the right direction. There are so many things I have learned from her that I will always remember and even pass onto others. There are many seeds that parents plant in their kids lives that they just have to water and wait. I am blessed to be able to have such a great mother and know that she never gives up on me just like my heavenly father wont give up on me. She has led me in the ways and values of life, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that!
Standing Together,
